Response conflict in 7- and 9-year-olds: an EEG coherence study

The same developmental conflict question, reported as an EEG study of coherence.

System outline
  1. 01Conflict task
  2. 02Coherence
  3. 03Age comparison

The idea

This is the empirical companion to the coherence method. Seven- and nine-year-olds perform a response-conflict task while EEG is recorded, and coherence is used to compare how the two ages organise the response.

The approach

The signal-processing conference paper carries the study: the task, the ages, and the coherence results. It sits beside the EMBC paper, which is framed as the analysis approach.

  • A conflict task in primary-school children
  • Coherence between EEG sites
  • Reported in the IEEE DSP proceedings

  • IEEE International Conference on Digital Signal Processing, 813–817
