Warp

A terminal that treats commands as blocks, built for working with coding agents instead of a glass teletype.

Warp terminal with a file tree, a session list, and a block-by-block agent edit that greps, patches CSS, typechecks, and commits.
The command, the diff, and the commit, as blocks. Image from Warp.

A terminal that is still a glass teletype makes agent work miserable. Output scrolls away. You cannot point at the command that mattered. Warp treats each command and its result as a block you can scroll back to, edit, and run again. The prompt is an editor. Search covers sessions, files, and agents, not just the last screenful of text.

Warp’s site now calls the company the open platform for automating development, and the terminal the place for agentic coding. The product shot is the feature. A session greps a landing page, applies a CSS change, runs a typecheck, and commits, with the diff counts sitting on the block. You can see what changed. You are not reconstructing it from scrollback.

The same account runs Warp Agent from a shell that is not this terminal. It loads an AGENTS file, finds the skills in the repo, and takes a task. For someone who already lives at a prompt, Warp is the terminal that assumes the next command might be a conversation, and still lets you type cd.
